The face behind the blog

Hey! My name’s Nashra and I’m the creator of Buzzer Beater Blog. This blog was created to showcase athletes of colour within the TMU Bold community.

Growing up, sports had always been a big part of my life. I played a variety of sports (like hockey, soccer, tennis and softball). I’m also an ex-competitive swimmer with nearly 10 years of swimming experience.

I enjoy watching, playing, and covering different sports, with soccer being at the top of the list. I knew I wanted to do something with sports from a young age, and that led me to focus on sports journalism. The goal is to one day cover the FIFA World Cup but until then, I'll be working on my soccer jersey collection.
